Direct Admit WI

The School District of Waukesha is participating in a new state program called Direct Admit Wisconsin. The program is designed to provide a place for all Wisconsin high school students to access a world-class public education by proactively offering them admission to the Universities of Wisconsin.

There are 10 Universities of Wisconsin campuses participating in Direct Admit Wisconsin for Fall 2025. They are UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Parkside, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout, UW-Superior and UW-Whitewater.

Your student’s 11th grade transcript will be evaluated by Direct Admit Wisconsin, including grade point average, math coursework, and progression towards graduation. Based on these items, you and your student will receive a letter via Infinite Campus in July indicating which universities are providing the student with direct admission, and provide the next steps you may need to take in order to learn more about enrolling within the Universities of Wisconsin.

Participating in this program does not commit your student to attend the Universities of Wisconsin. The purpose is to streamline the process. Students will know in July which schools they are automatically accepted into without having to follow the traditional admissions process. Students can still apply for schools through the traditional admissions process if they are not notified via Direct Admit Wisconsin.

To facilitate the administration of this program, the following information will be shared by the school with the Universities of Wisconsin: Name, WISEid, local student district ID, contact information, legal sex, race/ethnicity, grade point average, and high school transcript.

If you DO NOT WANT your student to participate in Direct Admit Wisconsin, please complete the following form http://sdwone.us/directadmit no later than May 17, 2024.
