As a community service the School District of Waukesha provides programming on District TV channel on Spectrum Cable educational access channel Cable 13 and streaming on the web (see above).

Scheduled programming is shown at various times throughout the day. When a program is not being aired informational signage on school district events and achievements is shown. 

The channel schedule for programming on District TV is developed weekly, with the calendar being updated on Friday.  Changes can be made at any time to the schedule to reflect programming needs.

With the playback system we currently use, programs may not start at the exact time shown on the channel schedule. A program may start playing between the start time stated and up to five minutes after that start time.

 Content on District TV covers four major areas:

All school board meetings are shown live on the second Wednesday of the month. Also, committee meetings for Finance and Facilities, Teaching and Learning and Policy are shown live at their scheduled meeting times. Please check the District TV schedule for the exact day and time. All these meetings are shown numerous times as the schedule permits during the following seven days after the live broadcast.

Original programming which is created by District TV and other school related groups is scheduled throughout the year. This programming may include school concerts and events, classroom presentations and community informational programs.

Another area of programming that meets our educational mission comes from third parties.  This programming comes from NASA, Fairfax County School District, NewTV, and other producers.

When the above programs are not being shown there is a district digital message board displaying individual weekly school calendars, Weather, District TV schedule, student and staff accomplishments and other information. 

Besides being able to view programming live, District TV has a YouTube channel where you can view all past board and committee meetings. Meetings are posted to the YouTube channel within 24 hours of being shown live. Also selected Board of Education Bright Light presentations which highlight programs and acheivments can be viewed on the YouTube channel. (click here to go to the YouTube channel)
