Welcome to the 2023-24 School YEar

August 14, 2023

Dear Meadowbrook Families,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! We hope this letter finds you in good health, great spirits, and excited for the upcoming school year! We are very pleased to welcome back our returning students and families, as well as extend a warm welcome to our new ones!

Meadowbrook staff members have been busy preparing for an engaging and successful school year. Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As part of our team, I am pleased to announce our new staff members who have joined us:

  • Bonnie Czarnik- 4K Assistant

  • Heidi Edwards- School Counselor

  • Paige Faucher- Grade 1 Teacher

  • Allison Furrer- Speech and Language Pathologist

  • Pam Shook- Special Education Assistant

Please remember that communication is key to the family/school partnership. We are committed to keeping you informed about your child’s progress and school events. The majority of our communication will be electronic, so please be sure to attend to those messages. Our school website is also a good place to visit: https://sdw.waukesha.k12.wi.us/o/meadowbrookes. Here you will find detailed information, including important forms and our monthly newsletters. We encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns that you may have.

As a reminder, tomorrow, August 15th,  is Picture Day from 8:30am-1:30pm. Please adhere to the signage once you enter our parking lot in order to find the correct location. If your family ordered pre-packaged school supplies, those will be distributed to you at this time. You also can retrieve your child’s assignment notebook.

Tomorrow is also our 4K and 5K Jumpstart from 9am-11am. Families of incoming 4K and 5K students should follow posted signage that day. We will be meeting the little ones on the blacktop near the playground upon their arrival and exiting them through our main doors.

Meadowbrook’s Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30th, from 4:45pm-6:15pm. Our format is informal, so feel free to come to school that evening anytime within that window. Your child will visit his/her classroom, drop off school supplies, meet staff members, and leave with a special treat!

As we embark on this new school year together, I want to extend my gratitude for trusting us with your most precious asset. We promise to love and support your child through their enriching learning experience and remain committed to the partnership we have with you.  If there is anything that we can ever do for you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Here’s to a fabulous school year!

Sincerely,

Jessica N. Barry
